Board Member

I live in Paraparaumu with my husband Bruce and our two sons. We are a very active family that loves hiking and biking, national and international travel and attending motorsport racing events.

I became involved with SPELD NZ when my son Brandon had an assessment that confirmed he had dysgraphia. It has been quite a journey with his learning challenges, and I am very thankful to have had the support of SPELD NZ.

I work remotely from home (fulltime) for a chartered accounting firm based in Auckland, and I am currently in the process of becoming a partner in the firm. During my 20 years’ experience in the chartered accounting industry, I have had the privilege of working with small to medium-sized businesses in a range of industries both nationally and internationally.

Recently I decided to expand my skillset by enrolling in the Chartered Governance Professional Qualification with Governance NZ. I am really enjoying studying corporate governance and feel that it nicely complements my chartered accounting qualifications.

As a board member I bring a broad business skillset that encompasses finance, strategic management and business insight, as well as empathy, passion and positivity. I am enjoying the opportunity to learn, grow and support the SPELD NZ vision.
